Clearwater Beach is a vacation spot as many tourists come and go to this Beach.
Thursday afternoon as a class we explored the beach profile and the dunes that were present on Clearwater Beach. We meet at the end of Avalon St and perused the beach from here .From the very beginning we seen a tortoise climbing around in the sand dune like he looking for his home.  Then beach dunes beach profile was are main objective today learning the foreshore and berm ,backshore and dunes, and how the swells help the habitat. There were 4 groups of 4-5 people started investigating the beach and the dune profile.

The first part that my group researched was down the beach a bit to see different types of sand dunes that were being created and organisms that were present or live in this environment. Many plant and organisms survive really punitive conditions considering the conditions we were looking and how these dune are form and how the protect each other. And how the plant grow in a rhizome way. Clearwater Beach is maintained beach that is clear up daily as there is not much seawrack.
Our second  part was to measuring how fast the beach drops each 10 meters into the water and to take samples of the sand and to write down what was the % of sand vs shells and materials we found at given increments.
