Moccasin Lake Nature Park - Andrew Fimowicz

On August 27th 2015 it was about 80° in Moccasin Lake Park. The sky is very cloudy. You can see right away that the park has a lot of trees. As we venture further into the park i learn the park was purchased in 1982. It has 5 or 6 ecosystems in its 51 acres. As we continue i start to learn about animals that inhabit Florida.

The Creamsicle Rat Snake is native to Florida. It can usually be found in wet lands for example the Everglades. They live about 5-10 years. As we walk threw the park we saw an American Alligator. These are native to Florida and also the state reptile of Florida. They can live for hundreds of years. We saw a lot of things on the trail like a Orange tree witch is actually not native to Florida. This trip was full of information and fun.
