Moccasin Lake Park

On the day of Thursday August 27th 2015 it was about 82° at Moccasin Lake Park our first field trip. The sky is partly cloudy. As you enter the park you can see some of the exotic reptiles of snakes, upon walking outside they is a few beautiful birds. One particularly interesting bird was a American Black Vulture his name was Elvis and 3 screeching owls and my favorite Red tail Hawk he was a poser.  You can tell that the park had many different trees. The park has 51 acres of land with many ecosystems in it and a few Secondary ecosystems. I learned from the assistant working at the park that this park was a place for rescued Animals.
Standing on the dock I could see an Alligator sunning himself on a sand barge. This Alligator is a native to Florida and is also the state reptile of Florida. There live span can be up to hundreds of years. I saw many fruit trees Grapefruit and lime and orange trees, among many others wildlife plant and flowers. The park is
an ideal place to take a peaceful gentle walk and enjoy the nature and adventure .
