Wall Springs Park

Wall Springs Park became county property starting in 1988 and since then the county has made multiple purchases to amount to the now 210 acres.

Temp: 84F
Cloud Coverage: 30%
Wind: 6mph
Outflow: 3,000 gallons a minute

Throughout the park we saw the following organisms:

Squirrels
Mallord ducks
Anhinga bird
Giant leather fern
Duckweed
Red mangrove
Black mangrove
White mangrove
Catfish
Needlefish
Horseshoe crab
Other fish
Grasshopper
Juniper tree
Brazilian pepper (invasive)

We measured salinity and ph in three locations. The first location was directly at the spring. The salinity was 2-3ppt and the ph was 7. The second location was the first bridge we went over, where the spring water meets the bayou. At this location the salinity was 17ppt and the ph was 6. The third location was over a larger bridge, we did not measure ph but the salinity was 25ppt.
