Last Friday October 14th our class went to Sawgrass park in St. Petersburg. The main reason why we visited this park was to be able to learn about lakes and ponds. We also got to see different animals while at the park, such as fishes, turtles, and alligators. We also got to know the 3 main characteristics of a lake or pond which are the Oligotrophic, Mesotrophic and Eutrophic. We also found out that Lakes are 10 acres or more while ponds are less than 10 acres. overall it was a great experience and we got to learn a lot.
