On November 13, our class ventured to Brooker Creek Preserve. Brooker Creek Preserve is the largest persevere in Pinellas County and is comprised of 8,000 acres. During our field trip we walked along trails looking at the different plant communities (flat-wood and hammock). Most of these trails were overflowing with water, making our way through them very interesting. There were times when people almost fell in the water, tripped over tree roots (mostly me), or slipped in the mud. However we did see some cool stuff while we were in the park.

Poison Ivy
Fungi

Fallen tree
Burnt tress (fire dependent pine trees)
Sundew
Baby frog
Rattlesnake

Snake skin

Knee high water!
